The Pinellas County Clerk of the Circuit Court’s award winning Legal Self Help Center is delighted to announce that the North County Branch Office will be opening its doors for a full day each week starting Tuesday, April 5.

With an increase in requests for assistance and appointments on the rise, offering the services for a full day each week will afford Pinellas County citizens in the northern part of the county greater access to pro se assistance.

In January, the Clerk’s Self Help Center was awarded the national Louis M. Brown Award for Legal Access by the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on the Delivery of Legal Services. The award honors programs and projects dedicated to matching the legal needs of those of moderate income and lawyers who provide affordable legal information and assistance. Pinellas County citizens who represent themselves in court and do not already have a private attorney representing them can now get affordable legal assistance.

Services at each branch location allow citizens to schedule an appointment to consult with an attorney for a minimum of $15 (attorneys may assist with Family Law, Small Claims and Landlord/Tenant matters only), use specialized software to assist in filling out forms for eviction, divorce and/or small claims actions (software-usage fee plus the applicable form packet fees apply), purchase forms and packets for civil court actions, have documents notarized and make copies. Citizens can make payment using MasterCard, Visa, cash, check or money order. Refunds will not be issued for missed appointments and appointments may not be rescheduled once payment has been made.

The North County Branch Self Help Center is located at 29582 U.S. 19 North, Clearwater, FL 33761 and will open on Tuesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If you would like to schedule an appointment with an attorney at the North County Branch Office, please call (727) 464-5150, (727) 582-7941 or fax (727) 453-3423. The North County Branch Self Help Center is open on Tuesdays only.
