On Friday, September 30, 2011 the Crescent Oaks Country Club opened a new era. After more than a year being closed, and falling into disarray, Mr. William “Bill” Place purchased this magnificent property and brought it back to life.

Simultaneously, he is also the owner of two other superb golf courses, Wentworth Golf Club in Tarpon Springs and Pebble Creek, Tampa.  These three clubs fly under the family-owned company, Ace Golf.

This aggregation of premier clubs provides 54-holes of golf in the Tampa Bay Area which are unable to be matched anywhere in the State of Florida and affords to associate golfers the ability to play these courses with a single telephone call for a tee time.

Crescent Oaks Country Club is a superb Semi-private golf facility, which immediately upon purchase was made available to public since it was first built two decades ago.

The memberships have been exploding and once again are becoming a focal point for those golfers who have a love for the game.

The entire 18 greens Crescent Oaks Country Club have been rebuilt, and enhanced with Platinum Paspallum Greens. These surfaces are state of the art and run fast and true.

The clubhouse, first and foremost, had to have a new roof installed, which was done immediately upon purchase.  From that point on the work, inside commenced. The décor has been upgraded to reflect a history of distinguished golf that has taken place at this club.

Crescent Oaks Country Club is called the Finest Semi-private Golf Facility in Pinellas County. There is dining room, which can facilitate two to three hundred people, and if you are looking for a banquet with excellent facilities, you have stuck a hole-in-one. The scenery and view is breath taking for those special occasions.

There is a new Chef in town, Curtis Boldt, who was head chef at nearby Cypress Run Golf Club for 15 years, he retired to his home in Deadwood, Black Hills, South Dakota. Curtis was enticed to come out of retirement to work at making the Crescent Oaks Country Club dining a place where family, friends and individuals who enjoy good food come to that “special technique” which he noted for.

The course is 6914 yards long, which can be played in five different levels, it carries a Par 72, which tests the skills of the talented and of course those who want to putt on a perfect surface and those who want to spend that leisured time amongst the best.

The club is located in what we describe as the “three corners.” It is located touching three counties, Pinellas, Pasco and Hillsborough. Construction is almost completed, thereby allowing 4 lane traffic to and from everywhere in the Tampa Bay area, if you care to fly in the Tampa Airport is available and
finally the people in and around the local area welcome the new team in the neighborhood. They are all pleased to see what is being done and are looking to play on this finest of clubs owned by Bill Place and Ace Golf.
