Osceola High Gets a Visit from the Navy Rock Band and Blue Angels

In honor of Navy Week, the U.S. Navy Band Southeast’s Contemporary Entertainment Ensemble “Pride” will perform for students at Osceola High, 9751 98th St. N, Seminole tomorrow beginning at 8 a.m. This high-energy unit with a repertoire of hits spanning 50 years is part of the traditional Navy Week activities designed for the Navy to showcase their many opportunities and to tell their story.
 
Brad Meredith, co-athletic coordinator, AP music theory, and director of choral activities, is expected to fly in one of the Blue Angel F-18’s on Wednesday afternoon or in the Navy’s Fat Albert jet propelled carrier as part of the Air Show this coming Sunday at MacDill Air Force Base as part of the Person of Influence program.
 
On Friday, March 19 at 8:30 a.m., a pilot from the Navy’s Blue Angels will be at Osceola High to conduct a presentation on this elite flying group and a flight simulator will be set up for students to experience.
